Equipped as standard with four sturdy six-tooth hoeing tines, the FG110 offers a maximum working width of 23cm and a tilling depth of 20cm. This ensures great precision when working between narrowly spaced rows of plants, while a rotary tool speed of 182rpm is optimised for working in flowerbeds and turning loose soil. The transmission system, moreover, features a worm gear drive which provides consistently high torque, and there is a range of optional accessories available (including a de-thatcher, an aerator and a lawn edger) to make the FG110 capable of far more than just soil cultivation.

Power, meanwhile, is delivered via one of Honda’s revolutionary 25cc GX25T mini four-stroke engines. As well as offering the power and reliability of a four-stroke in a pleasingly compact package, this engine also provides great fuel efficiency and eliminates the need to use an oil/fuel mix to help reduce service costs and demands. Using four-stroke technology even means that the FG110 is quieter and cleaner than a machine powered by a two-stroke engine, so this neat little tiller can be happily used in built up areas without fear of infuriating the neighbours. A high capacity 0.57 litre fuel tank, meanwhile, combines with the engine’s outstanding efficiency to allow you to work for longer between fuel stops.

Furthermore, with its brilliantly lightweight design (only 13kg), smooth running rear transportation wheels and centralized carry handle the FG110 is remarkably easy to manoeuvre. This is true both while in operation and when transporting the FG110 to and from storage, where its folding handlebar provides a handy method of saving space in the shed. The handles also offer a secure grip and ease of access to all controls, making the FG110 easy to operate even for inexperienced users and saving valuable time and effort when faced with challenging soil cultivation work in small gardens and allotments.
